The stones were fine. Everything between them was the problem.
This is the job we are called out to most often. A paver patio that has been down ten or fifteen years stops looking like the one that was installed: algae darkens the surface, the joints open up and fill with weeds, and a few stones drop where the base has moved.
What we did
We start by checking how the patio was originally installed, because that decides whether restoration will hold. Then the surface is deep cleaned, the settled areas are lifted and relaid to level, cracked stones are swapped out, and every joint is refilled with polymeric sand so plant growth cannot push back through.
The finish
Sealing is the part that makes the difference visible. It brings the colour back up out of the stone and protects the surface through the freeze and thaw that does most of the damage here.
